TDG – Transportation of Dangerous Goods

Transportation of Dangerous Goods – Provides training for the handling, offering for transport, and transporting dangerous goods by road. This is an online course which can be completed in our facility.

 

WHMIS – Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System – Training of persons who manufacture, work with, or are in proximity to controlled products in the workplace. This is an online course which can be completed in our facility.

PDIC – PROFESSIONAL DRIVER IMPROVEMENT COURSE

PROFESSIONAL DRIVER IMPROVEMENT COURSE – Includes defensive and professional driving skills in off-highway and adverse conditions. Also includes National Safety Code requirements, log books, load security, vehicle inspections, and much more. Students receiving 80% or better on the written exam are eligible for a reduction of up to three demerit points from their driver’s license.

Air Brake Course

 

Air Brake Course – This course covers the complete air brake system. Students learn how to operate, maintain, and inspect the air brake system in the most effective manner to ensure road worthiness.

Hours of Service (Log Books)

Hours of Service – Covers regulations pertaining to the Hours of Service rules in the Highway Traffic Act and the regulations. This course will also provide the student with the skill to obey these rules and give the knowledge of how to complete the log book.

Fatigue Management

Fatigue Management – learn to manage fatigue in both home and workplace, which can contribute to reducing incidents and injuries.

Cargo Securement

Cargo Securement – Students will learn how to maintain a safe and legal load when transporting equipment and goods.

First Aid

First Aid – Provides students with specific knowledge, skills and confidence to recognize when first aid is needed, give first aid at an emergency scene, and recognize when more qualified help or medical help is required.

Light Duty Vehicle

Light Duty Vehicle – Driver Improvement – for those who drive pick-ups, light trucks to and from field locations. Will cover safe driving skills including: defensive driving, safe vehicle operation, professional driver attitude in off-highway and adverse conditions.

Chaining up

Chaining up – will show students proper installation and usage of tire chains on commercial vehicles to ensure safety in off-highway conditions.
